Detection and correction of missing samples
In this paper we consider the following problem: to identify a subset of the samples of a band-limited signal that has been corrupted by noise. It is assumed that the Fourier transform of the signal is partially known (typically because the signal is band-limited). This is a nonlinear problem which is closely connected to several other signal processing problems.
متن کاملSimple Errorless Formulas when Missing Samples
Even if it is an idealization, the band-limited process is widely taken as model in signal processing and in communications. The classical Shannon formula is exact for the unit rate sampling and a spectral support of 2 -length. It is no longer error-free when one sample is lost and replaced by an estimation, because the set of functions {e in , n Z} is free and complete in L (, ). Then, an exac...
متن کاملSubsequence based recovery of missing samples in oversampled bandlimited signals
A new approach for recovering an arbitrary finite number of missing samples in an oversampled bandlimited signal is presented. This correspondence also proposes an approach for recovering the original signal's spectrum from the spectra of a certain number of subsequences, obtained by downsampling the original sequence. Closed-form expressions for the missing samples in terms of the known sample...
متن کاملhydrochlorothiazide detection in urine samples by hplc-dad and experimental design dispersive l-l microextraction
hydrochlorothiazide (hct) is a diuretic agent which is shown to be effective in the treatment of hypertension. literature reports have demonstrated that urinary excretion data may be used to assess the bioavailability of various formulations containing this thiazide. also hct consumption by the athletes is one of the drugs which should be regulated by world anti-doping agency (wada), because of...
Missing samples analysis in signals for applications to L-estimation and compressive sensing
This paper provides statistical analysis for efficient detection of signal components when missing data samples are present. This analysis is important for both the areas of Lstatistics and compressive sensing. In both cases, few samples are available due to either noisy sample elimination or random undersampling signal strategies. The analysis enables the determination of the sufficient number...
